I’m changing themes like they are socks!

Here. I said it. I am never 100% happy with our current theme. There is always something that’s missing, something I would change or remove. In past few years, I think I bought (Jaime don’t read this!) more than 6 – 7 themes and we used only two for the longer period of time.

At the moment, I’m quite happy with Extra of Elegant Themes, but the truth is – I am not a designer or developer and sometimes I do not want to *build* anything, I want a done product. Also, I do not want to turn our site into a magazine – because it’s not, so that eliminates many great themes. I would be the happiest to find a theme which I would love 100%, but until we earn enough for a custom design, I need to make the most of the available paid themes. ūüôā

EXTRA

So. I’ve been using Elegant Themes for a few months already and I LOVE how they give you the whole package. Even though you need to put a bit more effort in creating your lovely blog, with Divi builder you can easily make some magic. Their plugins, especially Monarch and Bloom, are my absolute favorites and finally I do not need to use several other plugins. With Elegant Themes, I have everything.

If you like a drag and drop system, Extra theme could easily make all of your dreams true. It is the most customizable theme I’ve ever used and you can change or adapt pretty much anything. Feminine or masculine, a fashion or a travel blog, the cars or clothes – you name it. You can do anything you wish with Extra.

FALIVE

So, I was living happily with Extra, when a few days ago one funny thing happened. I visited one of the blogs and I found myself really loving the design. It looked very clear and seemed to have everything I was looking for, so I dropped a message to the owner asking if it was custom made or she could share the link. It was Falive, the theme I had in my “theme library” for a long time already, but I never used it.

Needless to say, I installed it immediately and here you can see it live. Clean and bright design, in the combination with simple user interface, made me quite happy by now. You can choose between five different headers, three sliders, and two post layouts if you wish to make your page a bit different. Falive has everything average blogger needs – and more.

SOLSTICE

Solstice is one of my favorite templates – simple, clean and feminine, but advanced enough to make you happy. It has more than 140 styling options, different layouts and it is fully responsive what makes it perfect for bloggers.

Its clean and modern look in combination with custom widgets, Instagram feed, and bonus typography logo pack makes Solstice theme very attractive. I dare to say this beauty will be next on my shopping list.

INSPIRED

Inspired is probably the most feminine theme on this list. It is totally chic, fully responsive and highly customizable. Comes with the about widget (super useful), different sliders and it is translation ready. The customizer is built in so changing the appearance is extremely easy. If you decide to buy this theme, the lovely developers will give you access to their library full of printables and templates completely free of charge!

Besides these lovely themes, you may notice we recommend SiteGround’s hosting as well. And we recommend it because it is awesome!! Previously we used iPage and the site was often down, experiencing all kinds of problems and their staff was not ready to help us. Even we already paid for 3 years, we decided to change because the situation became unbearable. We noticed everybody was talking about SiteGround so we decided to go for it and we never looked back.

Even we already paid for 3 years, we decided to change because the situation became unbearable. We noticed everybody was talking about SiteGround so we decided to go for it and we never looked back. In a year we did not experience any problem with the site and their staff did an extra mile to help us with the migration. If you have any doubts which hosting to choose, go for SiteGround – you will not be sorry.
